  • The GCMGC is a prestigious football tournament that takes place annually to honor the mother of the 14th Dalai Lama. The Tibetan National Sports Association (TNSA) organizes the tournament. 

    What it does

  • The GCMGC showcases football matches, but it also serves as a platform to promote unity and nurture talent within the Tibetan community. The tournament brings together Tibetan youth from various settlements in India, allowing them to connect and celebrate their shared heritage. 

  • What it also does
    The TNSA selects individuals for the Tibetan National Team to compete in international and domestic tournaments based on players’ performances in the GCMGC.
